A hack you may want to consider would be to query the width of various characters using the given font. For example, if 'W', 'i', 'O', and 'l' are all the same width, then you are probably dealing with a fixed width font. So do we have any documents telling us the whole list of all available monospaced fonts in C#?
I really doubt there's any font in the world (monospaced or not) that has "complete" Unicode. My docstrings appear to be using non-fixed-width font. Becaus the four spaces that occur before the docstring are using a fixed-width font, and becuase docstrings are multiline, this causes all of the docstrings to appear to have a messed up indention level.
