I think the work much better. When loading new I fired hulls on my 600 set up for 3” hulls, the old style works far better at sitting the initial crimp. This is something brand new that presses are being shipped with. MEC has replaced the wooden handle with this one. It is slightly fatter than the wood handle.

But there are really only 2 different sets. MEC sure did get confusing on this one, because the part numbers for the pre-82 600 jr die set and the 83-85 set are the same (8335XX).
