However, the pilot circuit in one of the carburetors can be plugged too. You actually have to completely disassemble the carburetors and use cleaner in the carburetor body to clean the pilot circuits ...Common Mechanical Problems. I could prob mill the outer sheave a hair for more travel. but it'd prob gain 1-2 mph only. The idle air screw should be 2.25 turns from lightly bottomed, not tight to the bottom, but just barely touching then back it out and count the turns. I believe the LTA 50 only has the one speed restictor. It is a washer that restricts exhaust. I know the LT 80 has both the washer as well as a carb restrictor.
