Alpine zoo. The Big Bear Alpine Zoo at Moonridge is open all year long, with a daily summer schedule of 10:00am until 5:00pm that lasts from Memorial Day Weekend until Labor Day Weekend and a daily winter schedule of 10:00am until 4:00pm from after Labor Day Weekend until Memorial Day Weekend.

The Alpenzoo can only offer you a glimpse of alpine flora and fauna. We accommodate about 2000 animals in all, mainly vertebrates: 20 of the 80 alpine mammal species, 60 bird, 11 reptile and 6 amphibian species as well as nearly all alpine fish species.
