I have had no problems. My jeep has a pioneer 1770nex which is the cheapest model and its CarPlay is wired. I like it and was doing fine but every now and then it goes out screen wise and decides not to play. There is an other option in between price wise I have been looking at. 2660nex. Cause I know the 1770nex is not going to last.I left the vehicle running with CarPlay working. I started the applications Waze, Spotify, and an audiobook app from audible.com. That is the one I use. I have only had issues with the port if I get fuzz and lint and junk like that in my phone charging port, as long as I keep that clean I havent had any issues.
