Closed. I'm a new X2 customer as of this afternoon. I'd like to run the XB8 modem in bridge mode, but when I do that, it seems that all four ports drop to only 1Gbps. Comcast bridge mode. Note that I am using Bridge mode of XB6 modem. This gave me new IP and new gateway IP address and I haven't seen any packet loss for 2+ hours compared to previous 2-5 outtages / hour. So now I am more convinced that this was a case of a bad WAN gateway that Comcast owns. I will update here if I see this problem comes back.

My suggestion would be to create 2 WAN interfaces on your firewall setup Comcast and Cradlepoint in beidge mode and plug them in each interface. Then setup failover on the firewall and have Comcast be the primary interface.
