Just like Adopt a Family, Heart of the Holidays will provide holiday assistance to families with children in need. The program will accept a limited number of applications but will provide holiday assistance to families enrolled in partnering organizations’ programs. Children will receive holiday gifts and clothing – delivered by our partners.
Our Adopt A Family for the Holidays Program pairs a family or individual in need with a sponsor willing to purchase holiday gifts as well as necessities such as clothing and winter jackets. Recipients are either living in a homeless shelter or recently moved out of the shelter and are working through the challenges of living on their own ... DAIS works to match each donor with one family or individual that fits the donor’s budget parameters. We ask that donors plan to spend approximately $100 per person.
