Acer nitro 5 screen flickering

I have a Acer Nitro 5 Laptop (AN515-57-50AG). The specs says it has 144hz display but in the settings it has either 165hz, 85hz, or 60hz display. Is this the reason why there are so many issues about screen problems like screen flickering or black screen? [Edited the thread to add model name to the title and issue detail]
